Watch It Wednesday #39

Last week, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change published a report by Working Group II (WG II). WG II is focused on synthesizing the findings of hundreds of scientific studies and national reports from around the world related to climate change Impacts, Adaptation, and Vulnerability across socio-economic and natural systems. The report illustrates the impacts that climate change is already having on billions of people and countless species, and how they will worsen over time if we don’t change course.

The longer we take to act, the greater and costlier these impacts will be, especially when we push natural systems beyond threshold tipping points. There is still time to pressure governments, corporations, and ourselves to meet emission reductions targets this decade and limit warming to 1.5°C.
