Watch It Wednesday #22

A follow up to last weeks WIW investigating the need to shift away from consumerism to mitigate climate change, starting with corporations themselves and the governments that regulate them. This will require significant de-growth, that is reducing our collective needs as a global society (especially for those fortunate enough to have the financial means to reap the benefits of consumerism).

The Earth’s resources are finite and can’t support infinite economic growth driven by the consumption of products and services. To achieve de-growth from the perspective of a corporation, think better built and longer lasting products, reused and repurposed materials, environmentally conscious services, and at the individual level, realizing when you don’t need more.
